After an amazing 2016 event, Kidtopia Festival presented by Qantas Assure is back! Held across three days of the October school holidays, the event is packed with live music, theatre, circus, delicious food from Sydney's best and tonnes of activities for kids and grown-ups to enjoy together.
If great live musical performances are your thing, our Sound Stage is for you. You might decide to flip and twirl at Circus School, or dance and jam in one of our Masterclasses. Check out comedians, acrobats and magicians at our Cinema Stage, be entertained by roving performers throughout the day, or be thrilled on the rides at the Funfair with an unlimited rides pass. The little ones can join the fun at Littletopia, while big bro or sis gets the creative juices flowing at Craftworks.
Mum and dad can check out our Market Stalls before the whole family can finish the day with a movie at the Open Air Cinema.

WHEN IS KIDTOPIA FESTIVAL?
Kidtopia takes place on 6-8 October, 2017, the last weekend of the Term 3 school holidays.
WHERE WILL KIDTOPIA TAKE PLACE?
We’re located at the Cattle Paddocks in Parramatta Park, NSW. The festival site is an easy 8 minute walk from Westmead train station.
Where Can I park?
Limited parking spaces are available at Parramatta Park. These spaces are timed and cannot be pre-booked. We advise taking public transport to Westmead train station, which is a short 8 minute walk from the festival, or stay tuned for more parking options and offers closer to the event dates.
WHAT TIME IS KIDTOPIA ON?
We open at 10am and close at 8pm daily.
All live music and interactive activities finish up at 6pm. Open Air Cinema, Funfair and Good Food will stay open until 8pm.
WHO IS KIDTOPIA FOR?
Kidtopia is a family festival welcoming kids of all ages, along with their grown-ups. Activities are mainly curated for kids aged 5-12 but we promise, there really is something for everyone!
NB All kids need to be accompanied by a full paying adult and Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry.
IS THERE ANYTHING FOR UNDER 5s?
We have our special little friends looked after in our Littletopia area including games, play areas and fun activities. We also have a small number of rides for under-5s. We advise buying single-ride tickets for these once at the event. Animals in our Furry Friends area are suitable for ages 3 and up and Roaming Performers throughout the festival grounds for all ages. Our Sound Stage doesn't discriminate any age wanting to shake their booty and acts in our Cinema Stage Dr Professor Neal Portenza and Chores! will cover kids 3+
WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?
Your ticket includes all activities and areas inside Kidtopia apart from funfair rides and masterclasses.Tickets for these as well as food, drinks or merchandise in our Market Hall are additional cost.
With your Kidtopia entry ticket, you'll enjoy live performances on our Sound Stage, art & craft activities in Craftworks, live comedy and theatre in our Cinema Stage, exclusive circus acts in La Petite Grand, Roaming Performers, access to Littletopia and Circus School, nightly films in our Open Air Cinema (Fri & Sat only) and any additional sponsor activities and demonstrations through the day.
WE LOVED IT, AND WE WANT TO GO AGAIN.
Of course! However each ticket is valid for one day only, so you will need to purchase separate tickets for each day you would like to attend.
WILL IT BE DIFFERENT EACH DAY?
Apart from special one-off guests each day, all rides, demonstrations and shows will be the same. Our movie program will also show a different film each night.
ARE THERE ATMS AT THE FESTIVAL?
There sure are.
N.B. A small number of market stalls, food vendors and the bars will accept cash at Kidtopia, but the event is predominantly cashless. All entry tickets, masterclasses and funfair ride purchases on-site can only be processed via EFTPOS or credit card.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THE WEATHER?
Who knows! But Kidtopia is prepared come rain or shine. Whilst it’s an outdoor event, lots of activities are undercover with plenty of shade. We’ll have complimentary sunscreen stations and a limited number of ponchos will be available to buy at the Festival, but to be safe, we recommend you come prepared with a hat and sunscreen if it’s hot, or a raincoat and gumboots if not!
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
As much as we love dogs, unfortunately they aren’t allowed inside Kidtopia (except guide dogs, of course.). If arriving with a guide dog, please present to the staff at entrance for assistance when arriving.
CAN I LEAVE MY CHILD AT KIDTOPIA?
No, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
IS THERE A CHILDCARE / CRECHE FACILITY?
Kidtopia is specially designed for kids to have fun with their parents or guardians in an interactive environment. As such there will not be any childcare facilities onsite, and we require all children to be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times.
IS THERE A BABY CHANGING AREA?
Yes, we do have baby changing facilities available.
CAN I BUY ALCOHOL AT KIDTOPIA?
Yes, there will be a bar on site for Big Kids to enjoy a drink. You will need to provide a valid ID to purchase.
CAN I BRING ALCOHOL TO KIDTOPIA?
Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the festival, however you can purchase beer and wine on site from our licensed bars. Kidtopia staff reserve the right to check bags on entry.
CAN I BRING FOOD TO KIDTOPIA?
We have a great range of food options along with kid-friendly choices. Check out our Good Food page for more on what’s on offer.
Apart from provisions for infants and toddlers, additional food will not be permitted into Kidtopia. Kidtopia staff reserve the right to conduct bag checks on entry.
WE’RE TRAVELLING A LONG WAY TO ATTEND, WHERE CAN I STAY?
We'll be announcing special accommodation offers soon, however there are a large number of hotel and accommodation optionsboth in Parramatta and Sydney city areas.
WHO ARE THOSE PEOPLE FILMING AND TAKING PICTURES WITH THEIR FANCY CAMERA GEAR?
We will have photographers and videographers on site recording all the fun of the festival. If you do not want your child/children to be photographed or filmed, please notify the photographers/videographers immediately.
WHAT ABOUT DISABLED FACILITIES AND ACCESS?
Disabled bathrooms will be available onsite. As the festival is outdoors, please note for wheelchair use that the festival site is located on a grassed area.

WILL YOU ACCEPT COMPANION CARDS?
We will accept companion cards for those accompanying people with disabilities to the festival. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and quote the ticket order number and email address of the person you will be accompanying. We will then place your name at the door for a free ticket to be collected from the box office on presentation of your companion card.
WILL YOU ACCEPT SENIORS CONCESSION CARDS?
While we don't accept Seniors Cards, we recommend jumping on our early bird offer - only $15 for an adult ticket, which is a 50% saving on the door price.
